New Jersey State Minimum Wage Set to Increase January 1, 2015

H. Adam Shapiro

To all of our clients with offices in New Jersey, please remember that effective January 1, 2015 the New Jersey state hourly minimum wage will increase from $8.25 to $8.38.

Please remember that just because you may pay your employees a set salary, they still may be entitled to overtime under state and federal laws unless they fall into one of the enumerated exemptions. This analysis must be done on an employee by employee basis. If you have any questions, the attorneys at Danziger Shapiro are available at your convenience to discuss this and any other aspect of your business operations.
